This Privacy Policy explains what information TeslaSend, accessible from https://teslasend.link, collects and how we use it. TeslaSend is a simple tool for sending links from your phone to your Tesla browser. No account or registration is required.

1. Information We Collect

TeslaSend does not require an account, your name, or contact details to send links. We process the following information to provide the service:

• Connection codes. When you connect your phone to your Tesla, a random code is generated. It links your devices to each other without requiring a personal profile.
• Links you send. The URLs you send, together with basic metadata (creation time, expiration, display options, and an optional title), are stored so they can be delivered to your Tesla browser. You can delete your links at any time from the app.
• Page titles. When you send a link, our server requests the destination page to read its title. The website receives the requested URL and our server's IP address. We save the title alongside your link, not a copy of the page.
• Feedback. If you voluntarily submit feedback, we store the email address and message you provide, solely to respond to you and improve the service.

2. Local Storage and Cookies

TeslaSend uses your browser's local storage to remember your paired cars, connection codes, and preferences. A cookie remembers your language preference. Clearing your browser data removes these settings; links stored in the service can be deleted from the app.

3. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure page views and feature usage to improve the service. GA4 uses cookies and browser identifiers and processes device and request information under Google's Privacy Policy. The usage events we send do not include your links, their titles, connection codes, or feedback messages.

4. Where Your Data Is Stored

We store your connection records, links, and feedback in Google Firebase on Google Cloud infrastructure. You can read more about how Google handles data in the Google Privacy Policy.

5. How We Use Your Data

We use the data described above only to:

• Deliver the links you send to your Tesla browser
• Respond to feedback you submit
• Improve the website's functionality and performance

We do not sell or rent your data. We use Google Firebase for storage and Google Analytics for usage measurement. Page-title requests, website icons, and fullscreen navigation also involve third parties as described in this policy.

Fullscreen Navigation through YouTube

When you choose fullscreen mode or open a popular service shortcut, your browser goes through a YouTube redirect. Google/YouTube receives the full destination URL, including its parameters, along with your IP address and browser information. This also applies to one-time links. Google handles this information under its Privacy Policy linked above.

Deleting a link from TeslaSend does not delete information already received by YouTube or the destination website. Saved links opened without fullscreen mode go directly to the destination website.

Website Icons and Destination Websites

Website icons are loaded from DuckDuckGo. It receives the site's domain and your IP address, not the full link. Websites you open handle your visit under their own privacy policies.

Link Retention and Deletion

New links expire after 30 days by default. You can choose a different expiry time or no expiry when sending a link. One-time links are deleted from the database when opened. Links with an expiry are automatically deleted after the selected time, usually within 24 hours of expiry. Links without an expiry remain until you delete them or, for one-time links, open them. You can also delete links manually.

6. Data Security

All traffic to TeslaSend is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to your links is protected by a random connection code and database rules that prevent listing other connections. Keep your QR code and connection code private: anyone who has them can view, open, or delete the associated links.

7. Children's Privacy

TeslaSend is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Effective Date".
